Studying at the dance conservatory in Prague was excellent preparation for my future career. The school, and especially the teachers at the time, such as Andrej Halász and Jaroslav Slavický, prepared me very well both technically and in terms of acting. Thanks to this, I was very well prepared after graduating and had no problems working abroad. But even the four years of piano study, which were compulsory at the conservatory, are still valuable for me today as a choreographer. I would also like to mention the other teachers who inspired and supported me during my studies. Thank you to the whole school! I wish the school and its new management the best of luck and every success!”

“The dance conservatory is a very demanding school, but it prepares students for a far more demanding discipline, namely the life of a dancer. If it weren’t for the conservatory, I certainly wouldn’t be the principal dancer at the National Theater today, delighting thousands of people with my art, which I was able to develop thanks to the conservatory.”

“Without the education I received at the dance conservatory, I would not have been the dancer I was, nor would I be the teacher I am today.”

“I have fond memories of the Prague Dance Conservatory, even though the studies were very demanding, especially since I had to live alone in Prague from the age of eleven. We had a great group of classmates, with whom we are still in touch and meet regularly. I am very grateful to all the amazing teachers who guided me and motivated me to love the art of dance during those years. I fondly remember the ballet competitions and performances in various shows, of which the most memorable was the unforgettable Šípková Růženka choreographed by Jaroslav Slavický. I wish all current and future students and teachers that their years of study and teaching be filled with beautiful, positive, and unforgettable experiences.
